Why play FSB?
We have a tremendous coaching staff. This is our 10th year of travel ball and we have fantastic coaches. All of our regular coaches have years of experience at both the travel ball and high school level. We will develop your player. There isn’t space in this email to go over all the coaches and their merits. If you are in the baseball community just ask around. Our staff is as strong as can be.
We are a player first organization. We are flexible to let players play other sports and let players play with older kids if they are ready. Many organizations don’t let players play up but we always do what is best for the kid.
Communication. This fall we have a travel ball director that this is his only job. AJ Johnson will be taking over and handle all travel ball direction as well as being at at least one practice for all the players so he will know all the kids in the program. Ben Mangan has been doing the admin with some assistance but as FSB has grown to the point we’re now ready to have a full time director to make sure everything goes smoothly.
The love of the game. FSB is a huge family. We create a love of the game because we know that baseball is supposed to be fun. The culture of FSB keeps kids engaged and almost all of our players continue to play baseball in High school and many play in college.

Fall SEASON
FSB TEAMS
This fall FSB will be running 10u, 11u, 12u, and 13u teams.
12u and 13u are both split into an A and B team, while 10u and 11u each has one team.
Younger players may try out for older teams.
Each team will have two practices a week. One at the FSB batting cages in the Oakland Hills and one practice at the College of Alameda. (Up to 4 coaches scheduled at every practice)
TRYOUTS:
To register for the tryout, there will be two steps needed by participants.

Registration
The travel ball new year is in August so all teams will age up. If you were 10u for the summer than your player is an 11u for the fall, etc.
All practice squad players on the summer 10u team get an automatic spot on the new 10u team (aged up) if they are 10u’s in age. If your son was playing up they can decide what team they want to play on.
Please register by 8/17. If that is tough financially, with only two weeks before the deadline but you want to play, reach out and we can set up a payment plan.
It will be 600 for the team fee and 135 for every tournament a player plays in and 35 for local games.
The cost is $500 to be on the practice squad and half that if you only want to do one day of practice a week. Practice squad players just practice and don’t play in games unless we don’t have enough players. Players must try out for the practice squad to ensure everyone is at the right level and practice runs efficiently.

How far and often do we travel?
Traveling for FSB typically is no more than 2 hours. Players have tournaments every other weekend. We also sometimes play local scrimmages.
Are there Try Outs?
FSB has try outs prior to the beginning of every season for new players. If you are interested in trying out, please email FredMooreFSB@Gmail.com to have him send out our registration link. There is no cost to trying out.
What if I do not have the time?
FSB also has a practice squad for players who cannot make weekend games. Being on the practice squad also helps those who are new to the sport develop their skills through the guidance of expert coaches and reps against players their own age. For more information, please email FredMooreFSB@Gmail.com
How long are the seasons?
Seasons typically are 3-4 months long. We offer Spring, Summer and Fall ball seasons. Also, during the winter months, we offer Winter Work Outs to keep your player developing during the off season.
How Expensive is Travel Ball?
For cost, please email FredMooreFSB@Gmail.com. We also are aware that many players are playing other sports. Our program is designed to have individuals pay a standard team fee and only play for the tournaments/local games they play in.
